Mobile gains first win in years against Ramparts

May 24, 2026

On a difficult night away from home, NOLA Ramparts FC suffered a 5-0 defeat to Mobile on May 23rd, battling through adversity after an early red card to goalkeeper Julien Pembo changed the course of the match.

Mobile struck quickly, finding the net in the 2nd minute before adding a second goal in the 17th. The match became even more challenging when Pembo was shown a red card in the 65th minute, forcing the Ramparts to play the remainder of the contest with ten men. Mobile capitalized late with goals in the 70th, 87th, and 90th minutes to seal the result.

Despite the scoreline, the Ramparts continued to fight and managed seven total shots with three on target. Defensively, the squad endured long stretches without the ball, as Mobile controlled 79% possession and completed 477 passes compared to NOLA’s 130.

The numbers reflected the pressure the Ramparts faced throughout the night:

Possession: 21%

Shots: 7 (3 on target)

Passing Success Rate: 58%

Possessions Ending in a Shot/Cross: 5%

Mobile finished with 14 shots, nine on target, and consistently controlled the tempo through sustained passing sequences.

While the result was difficult, the match also highlighted areas for growth as the club continues building chemistry and experience in its inaugural campaign. The Ramparts showed resilience under tough circumstances and will look to regroup quickly ahead of the next fixture PSC Panama City Beach at Pan AmAmerican Stadium on May 30th

Every new club faces moments that test its character. The response now becomes the story.

Up the Ramparts.
